FORT WORTH — Retta Vivian McQueen passed away peacefully Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, at the age of 93.
Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Thursday at South Park Baptist Church, Brother Gaylan Henry officiating. Interment: Retta will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Raymond Monroe McQueen, in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Retta was born April 4, 1921, in Putnam County, Mo., to the late Dave and Goldie Partin.
Retta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Monroe McQueen; son, Loyd McQueen; great-grandson, Joshua Allen Stanfield; three brothers; and one sister.
Survivors: Daughter, Violet Stanfield and husband, Jay; son, Ronnie McQueen and wife, Kaye; son, Harold McQueen and wife, Lene; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sisters, June, Dorothy and Lena; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
