Jeff Higginbotham

FORT WORTH — Jeff Higginbotham, 77, passed away peacefully Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, after a lengthy illness.
Celebration of life: 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, in Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
Jeff was born Dec. 11, 1936, to the late R.J. and Naomi Higginbotham in Kopperl. He pursued electrical engineering at Texas A&M. Jeff retired after 41 years from General Dynamics/Lockheed as director of special projects. He spent several more years as a private consultant to other companies, including MegaRail.
Jeff was past master of Kopperl Masonic Lodge #292 and past district deputy grandmaster of the Grand Lodge of Texas and also a member of Scottish Rite.
Survivors: Loving wife of 50 years, DiDi Higginbotham; son, Jeff Lee Higginbotham; daughter, Heather Calicott and husband, Gary; beautiful grandchildren, Taylor, Paige, Dylan and Lyric; great-grandchildren, Avery and Nyomi; and many friends.

Clifton L. Hallmark

FORT WORTH — Clifton L. Hallmark passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at the age of 88.
Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Friday in Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel. Interment: Clifton will be laid to rest with his wife, Hazel, in Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Clifton was born March 9, 1925, to the late Daniel Clifton and Laura Ellen Hallmark in Bangs. Clifton proudly served our country by enlisting in the U.S. Air Force and was in World War II. He was a loving husband, father and “Papaw” to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Clifton was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Hazel Hallmark; brothers, Lloyd Hallmark and Pete Hallmark; and sister, Christine Bunn.
Survivors: Son, Darrell Hallmark and wife, Diane; son, Duane Hallmark and wife, Kerry; grandchildren, Misty Oatway and husband, Steve, Darrell D. Hallmark and wife, Kendall, and Matthew Hallmark; great-grandchildren, Matthew Oatway, Brian Oatway, Katy Oatway, Colton Oatway and Hudson Hallmark; sister-in-law, Artie Ray; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Michie Brous

FORT WORTH — Michie M. Brous passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at the age of 81.
Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Monday at Central Christian Church, 3205 Hamilton Ave., Fort Worth. Entombment: Greenwood Mausoleum. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Brown Owens & Brumley Funeral Directors.
Michie was born July 20, 1932, in Fort Worth to the late Rev. and Mrs. H.B. Brous. He graduated from R.L. Paschal High School and Texas Christian University after which he served in the U.S. Air Force at Carswell Air Force Base.
Michie was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Hugh Brous Jr., Dr. Marion Wilson Brous and John Alton Brous.
Survivors: Wife of 60 years, Nancy Brous; sons, Michie Joe Brous and wife, Charlene, Bobby Brous and wife, Mary; daughter, Margaret Ellen Brous; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Ann Puckett; sister-in-law, Mary L. Brous; and many friends.

Brenda Joyce Crow

MANSFIELD — Brenda Joyce Crow, 56, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, while surrounded by her loving family.
Celebration of life: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Gateway Church Grand Prairie, 2404 N. Carrier Parkway, Grand Prairie.
Brenda was a woman who was loved by so many. Everyone who knew her was touched by her life and faith in God. She was fearless, tempered with unyielding trust in God. She was faced with insurmountable odds and difficulties, and not only took them head on but also conquered them with a smile and a laugh. She spent her time praying for the well being of others. Brenda loved her husband of 37 years, her three married children and six grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Teodulo Ramirez

FORT WORTH — Teodulo Ramirez passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at the age of 53.

Teodulo was born Feb. 17, 1960, to the late Seferino and Petra Ramirez in Guanajuato, Mexico. Teodulo was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Eriberto Ramirez.
Survivors: Loving wife of 18 years, Juanita Ramirez; sons, Jesus Alonso Ramirez and Saul Antonio Ramirez; daughters, Maribel Garay and Mayra Leticia Ramirez; granddaughter, Julissa Aragonez; grandson, Aiden Antonio Ramirez; seven sisters; eight brothers; and many friends.

Michael D. Petree

FORT WORTH — Michael D. Petree passed away Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, at the age of 54.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Thursday in Grand Falls Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Funeral Directors.
Michael was born Jan. 27, 1959, to the late Joseph and Mary Petree in Seagraves. Michael was senior regulatory administrator for Eob Resources for more than 15 years. Michael loved all sports which included the TCU Frogs and the Rangers. He also loved his two nieces and loved spending time with them. He was a very fun-loving person and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Survivors: Brother, Steve Petree; sister, Barbara Huertas and husband, Ricky; two nieces; and many friends.

David A. Martinez

FORT WORTH — David A. Martinez, loving husband, son, father, grandfather and friend, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, at the age of 46.
Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Calvary Cathedral Church International, 1701 Oakhurst Scenic Drive, Fort Worth, with Dr. Bob Nichols, the Rev. Robert White and the Rev. David was born Aug. 24, 1967, in Fort Worth to Jerry and Sarah Martinez. He attended Crowley High School and graduated from Christ For The Nations Institute in 2004 with an associate’s degree of practical theology. He had a passion for photography and the great outdoors that he saw as God’s splendor. David was a man loved by so many. Everyone who knew him was touched by his life and faith in God. He was joyful and bold with unyielding trust in the Lord. He was a soul winner with a heart filled with the fire of the Holy Ghost and spent his time witnessing to the lost and praying for the well-being of others. He was a worshipper with passionate love for Jesus Christ. Many remember him for his infectious laughter and “whoo!” David loved his wife and family and was a pillar of strength who gave his all for the Kingdom of God. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him but we rejoice in his homegoing, knowing that he is rejoicing in heaven. He has the victory!

Johnnie Casstevens

FORT WORTH — Johnnie Casstevens, 86, passed away Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, surrounded by her family.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brown, Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
Johnnie was born March 21, 1927, in Grosvenor to the late Johnny and Blanche Wilson. She was an employee of General Dynamics for 20 years and was also an employee of Custom Commercial Coolers, formerly known as Jay Needham Refrigeration. She was past president of The Ladies El Texa Grotto and was also a charter member of Celebrity Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Casstevens.
Survivors: Daughter, Cindy Oliver and husband, Glen; daughter, Cathy Casstevens; grandsons, Chase Faulder and wife, Paige, and Colby Faulder; granddaughter, Caitlin Oliver; great-grandson, Reid Faulder; and many other extended family members and friends.

Mary Ellen Fitzpatrick McCoy

FORT WORTH — Mary Ellen Fitzpatrick McCoy passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at the age of 63.

Wadelene B. Kee

HALTOM CITY — Wadelene B. Kee passed away peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, surrounded by her family at the age of 70.

Wadelene worked at TTI for 30 years. She had many family and friends who will miss her dearly.
