Beverly Ann Oliver

FORT WORTH — Beverly Ann Oliver made her transition to the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014.
Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Genesis United Methodist Church, 7635 S. Hulen St., Fort Worth, 76133, officiated by Pastor Ginger Watson.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the church in Beverly’s honor or to a charity of your choice.
Beverly was born July 17, 1940, in Breckenridge to the late James Clifton and Marjorie Rae Crowley. The family moved to Fort Worth where she married Bobby Lawson in 1956 and they had two children. As a single mom in 1968, she bought a home and raised her children while working at Three Way Dairy Supply for 23 years. She was married in 1989 to Phillip “Mutt” Oliver until his death in 2010. Beverly also worked at Williamson-Dickie in customer service until her retirement in 2006. She was always a helpful and friendly voice to anyone who called.
Beverly had the sweetest smile and a heart of gold. She cherished family and friends, and was incredibly grateful to all who helped her during a courageous battle with lung and bone cancer. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors: Son, Ricky Lawson; daughter, Debbie Lawson and husband, Greg Vanhoose; grandchild, Kayla Lawson Vanhoose; brother, Jim Crowley and wife, Cathy, her “sis”; father of her children, Bobby Lawson; and many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

FORT WORTH — Filemon De Robles passed away Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, at the age of 74.

Paul Harold Coates

FORT WORTH — Paul Harold Coates passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, at the age of 93.
Graveside service: 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, in Azleland Cemetery and Memorial Park.
Paul was born Feb. 20, 1921, in Burkburnett to the late Lester and May Coates.
Survivors: Daughter, Linda Faulkner; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Harrell Dean Coggins

FORT WORTH — Harrell Dean Coggins passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, at the age of 87.
Celebration of life: 3 p.m. Friday at Brown, Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel, the Rev. Ed Malone officiating. Visitation: The family will receive friends at 2 p.m. prior to the service.
Harrell was born Sept. 15, 1927, to the late Luther and Nancy Coggins in Wichita Falls. Harrell was a Merchant Marine and served in World War II. He was a former member of the American Legion and Elks Lodge and was a 32nd degree Mason. His passions in life included fishing, golf, traveling, fixing things and talking on the phone with family and friends. Harrell was a technician for AT&T for 37 years. Harrell is loved, admired and respected by all of us and will remain in our hearts forever.
The family would like to thank all of Harrell’s caregivers over the past few years.
Harrell was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Erma Coggins; companion, Wanda Vincent; and sister, Juanita Huddleston.
Survivors: Children, Cathy MacGorman and husband, Bob, Cheryl Frink and husband, David, Christy Wentz and husband, Don; grandchildren, Ollie, Carrie, Kelly, Jack, Christy, Jade, India, Gary and Charles; great-grandchildren, Winn and Elliott; mother of his children, Mary Kell; and many extended family members and friends.

Steven Ray Garner

FORT WORTH — Steven Ray Garner passed away Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, at the age of 35.

James Henry Schelper

FORT WORTH — James Henry Schelper, 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Monday, Dec. 8, 2014.
Service: Committal service at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
James was born in San Antonio to the late Max and Beryl Schelper. He had a passion for many things, including the U.S. Navy where he proudly served for 22 years before retiring, in addition to achieving the honor of an Eagle Scout. He also loved trains and was eager and happy to volunteer for Amtrak Railways. James received a degree as a system analyst from the University of Hawaii.
He was loved by his family and will be greatly missed.
Survivors: Daughters, Vanessa Griffith and husband, John, Kirsten Simenson and husband, Jim, and Melissa Griffith, and their mother, Faye Nelson, and Victoria Wilson and husband, Brian, and Erin Phillips and husband, Nick, and their mother, Teri Moore; sister, Patricia Sinclair; brother, Scott Schelper and wife Cecilia; 13 grandchildren; aunt, retired U.S. Army Maj. Beulah Casto Sprague

BEDFORD — Beulah Casto Sprague, 89, passed peacefully from this life on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014.
Burial: Beulah will be laid to rest in Columbus, Ohio.
Beulah was born Feb. 26, 1925, in Columbus, Ohio. She lived a quiet life and suffered from asthma. She had a love for reading and crocheting during her early years. After graduation from high school, Beulah went to work as a quality tester for Keever Starch Manufacturing and later worked for Lazarus Department Store in Columbus.
In July 1948, Beulah met the love of her life, John E. Sprague, and he was a fun-loving and adventurous person. She described their times together as “the most fun I ever had in my life.” Johnny and Beulah had no children so she would accompany him on trips in an 18-wheeler with their pet Chihuahua, Peanut. Beulah eventually learned to drive the truck so she could relieve her husband as they traveled on crosscountry trips. Beulah continued to live in their home in Bedford after her husband passed April 1973. Her health began to decline and she moved into assisted living and later to a nursing home until her death.
Beulah was preceded in death by her parents, Augustus and Magdalena Casto, and her husband, John E. Sprague.
Beulah would have wanted to thank Guardianship Services Inc. of Fort Worth who oversaw her care from 2003 until the time of her death. Heartfelt gratitude is also expressed to the staff at La Dora Nursing Center in Bedford for their loving care during the last years of her life.

Philip Eugene Lowry

FORT WORTH — Philip Eugene Lowry, 83, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, Mansfield. Philip will be laid to rest in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.

Philip was born Dec. 22, 1930, to Thomas Philip and Annie D. Lowry in Munday, Texas. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1978, and then worked in chemical sales for Crest Chemical. He led a quiet life centered around family. He loved fishing, hunting and football and was always at hand to help out a friend in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Cal Dodson Lowry.
Survivors: Wife, Kay; son, Art and wife, Kathi; daughters, Virginia Lowry, Wendy Reeves and husband, Michael and Sandy Reeves and husband, James; seven grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; and extended family members.
