Willie Frances Millsap

FORT WORTH — Willie Frances Millsap passed away peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015 at the age of 92.
Celebration of life: 12:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 2016 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel, Rev. Charles Cooper officiating. Visitation: 11:30 to 12:30 Monday prior to service.
Interment: Willie will be laid to rest in Laurel Land Memorial Park.
Frances was born April 8, 1923 in Wheatland to the late William and Fannie Millsap. Frances will be deeply missed by all and will remain in our hearts forever.
Survivors: Niece, Nancy Usrey; nephews, Curtis Hines, Dean Huckaby and Robert Marsh; nieces, Faye Stevens, Jimmie Millsap and Sue Shipley; numerous great nieces, nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

Burla Faye Tilghman

FORT WORTH — Burla Faye Tilghman passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015 at the age of 73.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. Saturday at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery.
Burla was born Jan. 9, 1942 in Forrest City, AK. to the late Harold and Marie Evans. She retired after 30 years of teaching elementary school. Burla was a devoted Christian who loved God and her family.
Burla is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Marie Evans.
Survivors: Son, Michael Tilghman and wife, Leah; daughter, Kathy Werle; grandchildren, Kayla, Kari, Gavin and Dylan.

Elmer G. Bruce

FORT WORTH — Elmer G. Bruce, 78, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015.
Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Monday at Brown, Owens & Brumley. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Elmer served his country as a paratrooper for 16 years and was a very hard worker. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pamela Fortenberry Garrett

HURST — Pamela Fortenberry Garrett passed away Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, at the age of 56.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, in Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Pamela’s memory to NAMI Tarrant County, 3136 W. Fourth St., Fort Worth, Texas 76107, to help patients with mental health or bipolar disorders.
Pamela was born Sept. 22, 1959, in Denton to Hardie and Betty Rice Fortenberry. She graduated from L.D. Bell in 1978. Pamela worked several years at Harris Hospital downtown. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. She loved her grandchildren immensely and found great joy in spending time with them. She was hospitable, compassionate and generous to all she met.
Pamela was preceded in death by her father, Hardie Fortenberry.

Cleo Dale Stephens

FORT WORTH — Cleo Dale Stephens passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, at the age of 67.

Cleo was born Feb. 15, 1948, to the late Cleo and Mary Stephens in Cooper. Cleo was a loving husband, father and brother and will be missed by us all. He will also be remembered for his love of music.
Cleo was preceded in death by parents, Cleo and Mary Stephens; and brother, Donald Stephens.

FORT WORTH — Samuel Garcia passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015, at the age of 59.

Samuel was born Jan. 11, 1956, to the late Benito and Elisa Garcia in Fort Worth. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be missed by everyone.

Wanda Gibbs Norman

ARLINGTON — Wanda Gibbs Norman passed away Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, at the age of 56.

Wanda was born June 2, 1959, to the late John and Geraldine Gibbs in Mount Vernon, N.Y. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed.

Rod Rutledge

FORT WORTH — Rod Rutledge passed away suddenly Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015, at the age of 55 due to a motorcycle accident.
Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at Birchman Baptist Church, the Rev. Neal Seaborn officiating. Interment: Rod will be laid to rest in Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brown Owens & Brumley Family Funeral Home.
Rod was born May 31, 1960, in Fort Worth to Buddie Earl and Frances Pauline “Polly” Rutledge. He was a very charismatic and energetic person who also had a great work ethic. He had a zest for life and lived it to the fullest. He loved traveling, planes, boats, helicopters, hot rods and antique cars, but his children were his greatest joy. His 21-year-old son, Christian, considers his dad his best friend and they had regular jam sessions together. Lindsay and her dad adored each other. They both loved antique cars and trucks, the cross-country power tour last summer becoming a favorite memory to both. They were renovating an antique car for Lindsay and planned another trip after she graduated in June 2016. Rod was a building contractor in Fort Worth and also worked with a development project in Belize. Rod is dearly loved and will live in our hearts forever. Our loss here on earth is definitely heaven’s gain.
Survivors: Son, Christian Rutledge; daughter, Lindsay Rutledge; the mother of his children, Lisa Rutledge; parents, Buddie and Polly Rutledge; brother, Brad Rutledge; niece, Miranda Rutledge; girlfriend, Cheryl Helton; and many friends.
