Daniel E. Kirk

FORT WORTH–Daniel E. Kirk passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, at the age of 87. Memorial service: 1 p.m. Thursday at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a charity of your choice . Daniel was born May 8, 1929, in Waco to the late Norman Ernest and Minerva Rachael Kirk. Survivors: Sons, Daniel E. Kirk Jr. and Louis Sean Kirk; daughters, Melissa Shirley Kirk Singer and Kimberly Allene Kirk Berrio; grandchildren, Rachael Berrio Landry, Daniel Alexander Kirk Berrio, Zoe Camilla Kirk, Zackary Kirk Singer and Keagan Kirk Singer; great-grandchildren, Hannah Claire and Emily Jeanne Landry; sisters, LaRue Christine Kirk and Joyce Carolyn Kirk Bratcher; and numerous friends and associates.

William Isham Taylor, Jr.

William Isham Taylor Jr., 72, beloved brother, departed this life Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017. Graveside Service: 1 p.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery in Fort Worth. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at Oakwood Cemetery. William Isham Taylor Jr. entered this life Feb. 19, 1944. After high school, he served in the United States Army. He lived most of his life in Fort Worth and spent most of his working life at General Dynamics Corp./Lockheed Martin. His great loves were flying, traveling, camping and animals. He will be greatly missed by family and friends alike. He was preceded in death by his parents, William I. Taylor Sr. and Josephine Taylor Parker. Survivors: Brother, Ronald Taylor; sister-in-law, Gwen Taylor; nieces and nephews, Stephen Taylor, Lindsay Taylor Roberts, Lauren Taylor, Michael Roberts, and great nephew, Oliver Taylor.

Johnny Mack Carney

FORT WORTH–Johnny Mack Carney passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017, in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 75.
Graveside Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Skyvue Memorial Gardens in Mansfield, Texas.
Johnny was born August 16, 1941, in Southmayd, Texas to Trude Cecil Carney and Ruby Mae Funchess Carney.
Survivors: Loving wife, Juanita Carney; son, Ricky Roe and wife, Laurie; daughters, Kay McCarthy, Tangie Carney, Laura Cascio and husband, Mike and Stacey Jones and husband, Charles; 6 brothers and sisters; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and other extended family members.

LaVerna Jo Hilliard

FORT WORTH–LaVerna Jo Hilliard passed away Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017 at the age of 72.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel, Preacher David Bennett officiating. A reception will follow from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials: Please make a donation in Jo’s memory to the Hoxsey Bio-Medical Center or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Jo was born Jan. 14, 1945 in Fort Worth to the late John and Nedra Hilliard.
Jo was preceded in death by Tom Gilbreath and Rebecca Tackett.

Janice Louise Blair

FORT WORTH—Janice Louise Blair passed away February 1, 2017 at the age of 82.
Memorial service: 10 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel. Janice was born October 4, 1934 to the late Robert and Ruby Napier in Dayton, Ohio. She was a very devoted wife, mother and Mammaw.  Her joy in life was her husband, kids and grandkids.  Janice had a strong love for her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Anybody that knew Janice also knew that she loved her Pepsi, playing games and working puzzles, with her family. Janice is preceded in death by her parents; Robert and Ruby Napier. Survivors: Husband of 65 years, Clarence Blair; son, John Blair and wife, Cindy; son, Michael Blair and wife, Jayne; son, Aaron Blair and wife, Myrna; daughter, Karen Blair; daughter, Pam Perrin and husband, Michael; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; numerous other family members; very special fur baby, Sophie; and many friends.
