Autumn Dawn Smith

FORT WORTH–Autumn Dawn Smith passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 at the age of 35.
Graveside service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Emerald Hills Cemetery.
Visitation: 6 to 8 Friday at Brown Owens & Brumley Family Funeral Home.
Autumn was born April 19, 1982 to Micheal and Joy Smith in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a sports fan and especially loved The Texas Rangers and The Dallas Mavericks.
Autumn is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Smith; maternal grandparents, Donald and Billie Shepard; and brother, Jaime Micheal Smith.
Survivors: Parents ; Micheal and Joy Smith; numerous extended family members; and a host of friends.

Hubert Warren Thedford

FORT WORTH–Hubert Warren Thedford passed away Friday, March 23, 2018, at the age of 56.
Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Brown, Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel officiated by Dr. Scott Maze.
Burial: Hubert will be laid to rest at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at the funeral home.
Hubert was born June 21, 1961 in Fort Worth to Ozro and Margaret Thedford.
Survivors: Loving wife of 21 years, Mary Thedford; son, Jonathan Thedford; son Shawn Thedford and wife, Whitney; son, Ryan Jackson; daughter, Katie Thedford; sister, Leona Kohut; grandsons, Corbin and Hagen; granddaughters, Harper and Piper and many other friends and extended family members.

Lawrence John Harrington

FORT WORTH–Lawrence John Harrington passed away early Monday morning March 19, 2018.
Memorial service: A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorials: If you wish to honor Larry’s memory, please do so with a donation to The American Cancer Society.
Lawrence was born January 8, 1936 to Albert and Ruth Rhinehart Harrington in Barker, New York. He graduated from Barker Central School in 1953 and attended Michigan State University for 2 years. He served in the U.S. Army at White Sands Missile Range. He graduated from New Mexico State University in 1962 and received his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Methodist University in 1966. He was employed by General Dynamics from 1962 until 1967. He joined The Western Company of North America and remained in the oil field service industry for the rest of his career. He was well known for his many innovations in the industry. Larry retired in 1991 and he and wife Pat travelled for many years in Europe and the United States. In September, 2006, he was inducted by The Society of Petroleum to the first group of Legends of Hydraulic Fracturing for “pioneering work in the first generation of hydraulic fracturing”. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who was loved and respected by many and will be dearly missed.
Survivors: Larry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia (Stacy); son, Alex Harrington and wife, Laurie; grandson, Jordan; granddaughter, Alison; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and many friends.

Virginia Vickers McIlheran

FORT WORTH–Virginia Vickers McIlheran passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the age of 79.
Memorial service: 3 p.m. Saturday at All Saints Episcopal Church.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice of Texas or a charity of choice.
Virginia was born on January 14, 1939 and was married happily to Dr. George Colyar McIlheran of Fort Worth for 53 years. She was a wonderful mother, very active and loved to play tennis and loved those dear friends with whom she played it. She loved to travel and special trips were always to visit her daughter and son in law in Germany.
Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. George McIlheran Jr.; and son, George McIlheran III.
Survivors: Daughter, Sallie Wunner and husband, Johannes; numerous nieces, nephews and other close family members.

Paula Myers

FORT WORTH–Paula Myers passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the age of 92.

Paula was born April 1, 1925 to the late Manuel and Clotilde Rosales in El Paso, Texas.
Paula is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Samuel A. Myers; daughter, Anna Armendarez; sister, Cecelia Rosales; sister, Gloria R. Diaz; brother, Hogan Rosales; and step son, William Myers.
Survivors: Daughter, P J Myers; sister, Consuelo R. Kirkpatrick; step son, Rex L. Myers, step son, Mike A. Myers; step daughter, Jane M. McClaugherty; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Joan Henson

FORT WORTH–Joan Henson passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the age of 83. Graveside service: 2:15 p.m. Thursday at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Brown Owens & Brumley Family Funeral Home. Joan was born December 1, 1934 to the late Albert and Mable Cass in Shenandoah, Iowa. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be deeply missed. Joan is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 61 years, C.F. Henson; and son, Randall Stephen Henson. Survivors: Daughter, Carla Lamarque-Floerke and husband, Michael Floerke; grandchildren, Micah Thornton and Lauren Chirico; eight great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many friends.

Paul D. Kendrick Sr.

FORT WORTH–Paul D. Kendrick Sr. passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the age of 73.

Paul was born March 19, 1944 in Fishtrap , Kentucky to the late John and Kelsie Kendrick.
Survivors: Wife, Wilma Kendrick; son, Paul Kendrick Jr.; son, David Kendrick and wife, Alecia; son, Rodney Kendrick and wife, Rory; daughter, Melissa Kendrick; daughter, Tara Griffith and husband, Nick; 12 grandchildren; numerous brothers and sisters; and many friends.

Phyllis Jean “Nan Nan” Sewall

North Richland Hills–Phyllis Jean Sewall, a passionate and loving mother, grandmother and friend,  passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the age of 86.

Celebration of Life: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Brown Owens & Brumley Family Funeral Home Chapel. Phyllis will be interred at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date. There she will be put with the Love of Her life, the late Samuel B. Sewall and their son, Charles Wayne Sewall.

Phyllis was born September 29, 1931 in Washington D.C. to the late Arthur and Rachel Manders. Phyllis met the Love of her life, Sam Sewall and they made their homes on the East Coast and Texas for many years to be close to their daughter and her family. Her fondest memories were those of which she enjoyed holidays with her family, shopping trips with her daughter and the many fishing trips and flower gardens with her husband of 58 years before he passed in 2009. Phyllis was an extraordinary mother embodying unfailing love, faith, character, generosity, compassion and humility. She always provided a perfect example for her daughter Debbie. Her droll sense of humor endeared her to all and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel B. Sewall and their beloved son, Charles Wayne Sewall as well as many other family members.

Survivors: daughter, Debra Sewall Tedone and husband Mark; grandchildren, David Matthew Tedone and Melissa Virginia Marie Tedone and Philip Mark Tedone; beloved niece, Donna Virginia Hunter and special friends Joyce and James Anderson and Chris Brown; and many friends.

 

Claude Kelley

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS-Claude Kelley passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the age of 81.
Celebration of life: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel, Rev. JC Kelley, Jr. officiating. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Interment: Claude will be laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the James L. West Alzheimer’s Center, the Alzheimer’s Association, and the Presbyterian Night Shelter of Fort Worth.
Claude was born December 11, 1936 in Polk County, Texas and grew up in his beloved Kirbyville, Texas. A resident of the Fort Worth area for more than 60 years, Claude was a long-time employee and retired President of Royal Oil Company in Fort Worth. Claude was also called to serve many area churches, including Midway, Haltom Road, and Hilltop Baptist Churches. He was most recently a member of First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth.
The family would like to thank all the staff at the James L. West Alzheimer’s Center, especially the Colorado House, for their love and care.
Survivors: He leaves behind his beloved family; wife, Mary Frances; son, Keith Kelley; daughter, Julia Mason and husband, Russell; only grandchild, Aaron Mason; and siblings, Elzy Kelley and Alton Kelley.

Sandra “Sandy” Jean Bailey

FORT WORTH-Sandra “Sandy” Jean Bailey passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at the age of 65.
Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
Sandra was born November 12, 1952 to the late Cecil and Jeanne Birdwell in Lafayette, Louisiana.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be deeply missed and will remain in our hearts forever.
Survivors: Daughter, Michelle Davila and husband, Arthur; daughter, Megan Ramirez and husband, Raymond; granddaughters, Miranda Davila; granddaughter, Isabel Davila; great granddaughter, Isabella Molina; grandson, Nicholas Davila; great grandson, Johnathon Molina; sister, Rita Crew; sister, Janice Barton and husband, Ed; sister, Lynda Oldham; sister, Pam Williams and husband, Jayson; longtime companion, Jose Ruiz; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special fur baby, Kisses.
