Paula Albright

HURST-Paula Albright passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Friday, July 27, 2018 at the age of 79.
Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Saturday at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Interment: Paula will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Gene Albright in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
Paula was born February 21, 1939 to the late Chock and Allene Hawkins in Dallas, Texas. She worked for Pepsi Company and Goodyear until the early 80’s when she and her husband started Gene Albright, Inc. She loved the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Stars and WWE. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be deeply missed.
Paula is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 54 years, Gene Albright; son, Gary Harris; brothers, James Hawkins, Larry Joe Hawkins and John Hawkins; and sister, Betty Depaepe.
Survivors: Daughter, Gina Guthrie and husband, Greg; grandchildren, Adaryn Guthrie and Connor Guthrie; brother, A.D. Hawkins and wife, Adela; and children that God brought into our family, Don DeMoise, Robin Hunter, Stephanie Meyers, Mistie Meyers, Marissa Meyers, and Tyra Hunter; and many friends.

Jerry Alfred Huse

FORT WORTH-Jerry Alfred Huse passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at the age of 74.
Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Friday at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment: Jerry will be laid to rest in Covington Cemetery.
Jerry was born November 4, 1943 to the late Alfred and Meta Huse in Clifton, Texas. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He loved working with cattle, wood crafting and sports. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed.

Frances W. Grunwald

ALVARADO-Frances W. Grunwald passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at the age of 90.
Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2018 at Worth Baptist Church, 4900 Campus Dr., Fort Worth, Texas 76119
Visitation: 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday prior to the service.
Interment: Frances will be laid to rest in Brandon Cemetery, 2 miles South of Brandon, 1200 FM 1243.
Frances was born February 27, 1928 in Ireland, Texas to the late James and Winnie Wolfe. She was a past member of the American Women’s Bowling Congress. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a loving friend to all that she knew. Her sisters-in-law were very near and dear to her. She will be deeply missed.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, James Ferguson; son, Jerry Ferguson; brothers, Jim Wolfe, Gilbert Wolfe and Bobby Wolfe.

Sandra Kaye “Mamae” Roberts

BURLESON-Sandra Kaye “Mamae” Roberts reunited with her loving husband , Ralph “Doodad” Roberts, in heaven on July 18, 2018 at the age of 75.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2018 at Skyvue Memorial Gardens, 7220 Rendon Bloodworth Road, Mansfield, Tx. 76063
Visitation: There will be no visitation.
Sandra was born February 24, 1943 to the late Andrew and Thelma Watkins in Fort Worth. She loved spending time with her family. Sandra loved her children, grandchildren and her precious husband whom she loved the most. Mamae was a seamstress and had the talent to make the most beautiful and unique things. She felt her best creation was her family. She was truly the thread that held the family together. She will be missed forever.
Sandra is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Roberts; and twelve siblings.
Survivors: Son, Delmer Roberts, his daughter, Amy, and his grandchildren, Sierra and Caden; son, Ralph Roberts Jr. and his son, Ralph Roberts III (Trey); daughter, Robin LaDue, her husband, Alex and their sons, Connor, Quentin and Logan, and daughters, Laura and Cassandra; daughter, Raelynn Kubala and her husband, John and their sons, John Travis, David and Daniel; and many nieces and nephews.

Lorraine Duval Blanton

RICHLAND HILLS-Lorraine Duval Blanton passed away peacefully Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the age of 99.

Lorraine was born March 15, 1919 to the late Boyd and Maude Duval in Detroit, Michigan. She was an artist who was an excellent watercolor painter. Lorraine was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother and will be remembered for her love of her family and her dancing.
Survivors: Son, Glenn Cornwell and wife, Shirley; daughters Luretta Laue and Linda Cothron and husband, Les; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Yu-Mei Lin Corley

FORT WORTH-Yu-Mei Lin Corley passed away Friday, July 13, 2018 at the age of 68.
Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Chinese Baptist Church.
Interment: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Yu-Mei Lin Corley was born December 1, 1949. She loved to travel and see new sights. She had a huge heart for her friends and family and was willing to help and the first person to do so. She also loved to sew and learn Chinese musical instruments. She will be missed deeply.
Yu-Mei Lin is preceded in death by her father and an older sister.
Survivors: Husband, Don Corley, Jr.; daughter, Marie Corley; older brother, Lin Hu Tsun; younger brother, Lin Hu Lian; younger sisters, Lin Shieu Mei and Lin Guei Mei; mother, Lin Who-Yea Tray; and many friends.

Lee Simpson

Weatherford-Lee Simpson passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at his home in Weatherford, Texas.
Celebration of Life: 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018, at North Main Church of Christ, 1302 N. Main Street, Weatherford, TX 76086.
Lee was born August 6, 1929 to James Lee Simpson and Carrie Esther (Todd) in Mirando City, Texas where he also attended Mirando City High School. Lee worked for many years with Shell Oil and later LTV (Vought) which he retired from after 39 years. He also owned and operated Land of Aah’s Antique Store in Weatherford. He enjoyed antiquing, auctions and garage sales, but most of all he enjoyed being PaPaw to his grandchildren and all who associated with them.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Nelda A. Cosby.
Survivors: Wife, Sharron Foreman Simpson of Weatherford; son, Donny Lee Simpson and wife, Alison of Tampa, Florida; daughter, Deborah Betancourt of Tampa, Florida; sister, Vermelle Findley of Austin, Texas; stepson, Chayne A. Haller of Weatherford; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Billye Harrison Billman

Fort Worth – Billye Harrison Billman passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the age of 94.
Celebration of Life: 1:30 pm, Friday, July 6, at Brown Owens & Brumley Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Phyllis Barren officiating. Visitation 5 to 7pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment: Billye will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Paul, at Greenwood Mausoleum.
Billye was born on February 17, 1924 to the late Thurston & Madge Harrison in Wapanucka, OK. She graduated from Wapanucka High School. During World War II she worked for Western Union. At its conclusion, she moved to Fort Worth. She met her future husband Paul through one of her friends at work, Jerri, Paul’s older sister. They were married on November 29, 1949 at First United Methodist Church in Fort Worth. Billye and Paul raised two sons, Hank and Clay. When the boys were older, Billye took a job with General Dynamics where she worked for over 20 years.
Billye had an easy smile and a good sense of humor. She loved a good joke. She never met a stranger and treated everyone like a long lost friend. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed hosting family and friends on numerous occasions. Billye and Paul were avid card players, playing bridge several times a week. In their later years, they traveled around the United States, Europe & Africa.
Billye was a member of  First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth, the Fort Worth Woman’s Club and Ladies of El Texa Grotto.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of the Lakewood Village Senior Living Community and Christian Care Hospice for their wonderful care and attention.
Billye is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years, Paul, and her younger sister Patsy Harrison Finkboner.
Survivors: Sons Paul H. (Hank) Billman III and wife, Linda of Fort Worth; Clay Harrison Billman and wife, Carolyn of Keller; grandson, Blake Billman and wife, Melissa; granddaughter, Lindsey Billman; grandson, Austin Billman; great-grandson, Parker Billman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Frances Lorene Thompson

FORT WORTH-Frances Lorene Thompson passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the age of 95.

Frances was born March 3, 1923 to the late General Jackson Douglas and Mattie Ella Sparks Thompson in Hartley County, Texas.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Katie Pickering; sister, Cora Faye Smith; and brothers, Valdon and Milfred Thompson. Frances was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother and will be deeply missed.
Survivors: Son, Robert Chesnut and wife, Renate; daughter, Carolyn Smithey; daughter, Annette Swindall and husband, Benny; son, Johnnie Chesnut and wife Sheri; daughter, Patricia Strunk and husband, Jim; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
