Glenn Earl Carr

FORT WORTH-Glenn Earl Carr died Friday, October 26, 2018 at the age of 79.
Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Saturday at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Interment: Glenn will be laid to rest with his beloved wife, Patricia Carr in Everman Cemetery.
Glenn was born February 26, 1939 in Fort Worth and graduated from Everman High School. He served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy for 7 years. He graduated with a degree in math from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos. He moved to Fort Worth and went to work for Bell Helicopter. While at Bell, he met a single mother of two, Patricia Halvorson. He married Pat in December 1969. Later he received a Master’s degree from TCU. He retired as a programmer from the U.S. General Services Administration. Throughout their retirement they devoted themselves to serve their longtime home church, King of Glory Lutheran. Glenn followed Pat, the love of his life into Heaven 9 days later.
Glenn is survived by his children, David Halvorson and wife, Janet, Donna Kopacki and husband, Jon; grandchildren, Jordan, Robin, Sean, Krystle, Luke, Cassie, Grace, Esther; great- grandchildren, Mackenzie, Mason, Shiloh, Gabrielle, Dani, Judah; nephew, Aaron; niece, Kristen; along with many friends.

FORT WORTH-Jozelle A Cherry, 88, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018.
Graveside Service: 11 a.m. Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Emerald Hills Memorial Park.
Jozelle was born on June 30, 1930 in Graford, Texas to Robert A Homsley and Dessie M Goree Homsley.

Paul David Foster

FORT WORTH-Paul David Foster passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the age of 64.
Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Thursday, November 1, 2018 at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Fort Worth.
Memorials: Donations may be made in David’s memory to the Hurst Citizens Fire Academy Alumni Association, HCFAAA , 2100 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, Texas 76054.
David was born November 20, 1953 to Rose Housley and the late John Paul Foster. David attended college at TCC and was a Hurst Firefighter for 28 years. David enjoyed playing golf, loved cars and riding motorcycles.
David is preceded in death by his father, John Paul Foster; brother, Jay Foster; and sister, Jeannie Hale.

Gregory Gene Lawler

FORT WORTH-Gregory Gene Lawler, 54, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018.
Visitation: A visitation will be held locally for family and friends on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Brown Owens & Brumley Family Funeral Home, 425 S. Henderson St., Fort Worth, Texas 76104. Formal services will be held Monday, November 5, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gashland Baptist Church  (601 NE Barry Road,  Kansas City, Missouri 64155). Celebration of Life Gathering will follow the service at Nick & Nino’s Pub (10024 N. Ambassador Drive, Kansas City, Missouri 64153).
Memorials: The family asks that memorial donations in memory of Greg be made to the ALS Association in honor of his mother.
Greg was born on August 14, 1964 in Galveston, Texas to James Grant and June Lawler. He graduated from Amarillo High School in Amarillo, Texas, in 1982. He was the General Superintendent Transportation for BNSF Railway, where he had worked since 1985. Greg was a loving father, husband, friend and mentor who loved to ride his Harley and his golf cart, both a matching shade of Sedona orange. He loved being outdoors and being surrounded by his family and friends. Greg had a great sense of humor and was happiest putting a smile on the faces of others. He married his wife, Jill Lawler, in June of 2016.
Survivors: Wife, Jill Lawler; brother, Jay Lawler; three children, Brittney Lawler, Brennan Lawler and Brelann Lawler; three step-children, Lauren Rasmussen, Kailey Rasmussen and Jeffrey Rasmussen; and one granddaughter, Shailon Song; and many friends.

Patricia Gail Meek DeLeon

FORT WORTH-Patricia Gail Meek DeLeon passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at the age of 66.
Celebration of life: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Lakeview Fellowship Church.

Patricia was born October 15, 1952 to the late Emsley and Sarah Meek in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a graduate of Angelina State University where she earned her degree in nursing. She was a nurse and all around caregiver to many. Patricia will be remembered for taking in stray animals and loved birds, gardening, fishing but most of all she loved being with her grandchildren.
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents; son, Roy Rea; brother, Jerry Don Meek and grandson, George Esquivel.

Donald Earl Wirsdorfer Jr

FORT WORTH-Donald Earl Wirsdorfer Jr passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the age of 83.
Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Ridglea Christian Church, 6720 Elizabeth Lane, Fort Worth, Texas.

Donald was born June 5, 1935 to Donald Earl Wirsdorfer Sr and A. Irene Wirsdorfer in Chehalis, Washington. Don graduated from Chehalis High School, Chehalis, Washington. He then attended Northwest Christian College in Eugene, Oregon, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1957. He and his family then moved to Fort Worth, Texas where he attended Texas Christian University. Don graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education in 1961. He continued at Brite Divinity School at TCU, where he earned a Master of Divinity degree in 1964. Don was an ordained minister for the Disciples of Christ Church. He served for over 50 years in the ministry, beginning with First Christian Church, Las Animas, Colorado. He then served churches in Texas, which include First Christian Church, Spearman, First Christian Church, Albany, First Christian Church, Lockhart, and First Christian Church, Burleson. Even after retirement, he continued to serve as an interim pastor at Disciples of Christ churches in Quanah, Kilgore, Mineral Wells, and Bethany Christian Church, White Settlement. Don’s love of people even carried over to his interests. Don was an avid runner who ran numerous marathons for the Leukemia Society. He also loved swimming. Don coached and taught swimming lessons at Las Animas, Colorado and later in Spearman, Albany, and Burleson, Texas. Even in his off time, he was enjoying ministering and helping others. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Juana was born April 3, 1959 in Coahuila, Mexico to Cesario Zapata and Margarita Sanchez. She loved dancing, singing, knitting, and karaoke. She will always be remembered for how she enjoyed life and she will be dearly missed by many loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Martin David Reyes and sister, Rosy Zapata.

Billie was born October 11, 1930 to the late William and Martha Brown in Bailey County, Texas. She graduated from Sherman High School. Her career started in bookkeeping and eventually she was moved into a position of bank teller. She loved crocheting, painting, crafts of all kinds, blue grass music and the Texas Rangers Baseball team. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be deeply missed.
Billie is preceded in death by her husband, Billie Duke and grandson, Bryan Charles Coleman.

Patricia Vale Carr

Fort Worth-Patricia Vale Carr, born December 19, 1935, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the age of 82.
Visitation: Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pat Carr was a wonderful example of Christ’s love, as a mother, a wife, and a church member. Pat was a reliability engineer at Bell Helicopter from 1966 until 2006.

FORT WORTH-Nathan Edward Collamer passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the age of 35.

Nathan was born August 25, 1983 in Pierre, South Dakota to Lawrence and Pamela Collamer. He loved sports, hockey, NFL, baseball, playing video games, Dungeons & Dragons, magic cards. He also loved ice cream, mac & cheese and most of all, God. He will be deeply missed by us all.
