KEENE — Bill E. Poynor passed away peacefully Thursday, June 25, 2015, at the age of 92.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brown Owens & Brumley Family Funeral Home.
Bill served in the U.S. Army during World War II, fighting in both France and Germany. Over the course of his life, he was a Mason, served as president of the Burleson Mounties Riding Club, and worked for Lockheed Martin for 39 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hardee and Pearl Poynor; wife of 70 years, Pauline Poynor; brother, Preston; and sister, Jewel.
Survivors: Daughter, June Greer and husband, Don; grandchildren, Dana Spoonemore and husband, Kurt, and Kim Goff and husband, Mike; great-grandchildren, Kevin, Sam, Hayley and Hanna; and many friends.
