FORT WORTH-Claire Lynette Cortez passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019 at the age of 53.
Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2019 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
Visitation: 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday prior to the service.
Claire was born Saturday, January 15, 1966 to the late Leonard Prettyweasel Jr. and Gloria (Red Wolf) Prettyweasel in Fort Worth, Texas. She graduated from Diamond Hill High School, class of 1984 and attended TCC from 1983 to 1985. Claire studied computer programming at TCJC and worked at FAA from 1983 until 1988. She utilized her computer programming skills working various jobs from 1988 until 2002. She loved sitting at the creek, riding the bus, meeting up with family for lunch and visiting with family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed.
Claire is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Christina Jimenez and nephew, Adan Cavazos.
Survivors: Daughter, Elana Hernandez; son, Joel Hernandez; sister, Cheryl Cavazos; brother, Leonard Prettyweasel; grandson, Vence Solis; daughter-in-law, Blanca Viliavicencio; and many friends.
