Ezekiel Rangel “Zeke” Rodriguez

FORT WORTH — Ezekiel Rangel “Zeke” Rodriguez, beloved father of five and best friend of Mary O. Rodriguez, passed away peacefully surrounded by the ones he loved and lived for on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015, at the age of 66.
Celebration of life: Noon Wednesday at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel. Interment: Zeke will be laid to rest at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 11 a.m. Wednesday before service time.

Ezekiel was born Dec. 25, 1948, in Austin to Euastacio and Fortunita Rangel Rodriguez. He lived most of his life in Fort Worth. Ezekiel served proudly in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division in the HHB 1st Bn 509th Infantry USAREUR-Italy as a tactical wire operations specialist.
He was affectionately known as “Popo” to his grandchildren and will be deeply missed by all of us.
Survivors: Children, Lisa Prado, Kathleena, Michael, Freddie Rodriguez and Deborah Wesson; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
