George was born October 8, 1953 in Fresno, California to the late Lawrence Daniel and Ferne Hollace Driskill. George was a kind person and always showed great devotion and commitment to his wife, Jenny. They had been married for over 40 years. He enjoyed our family Christmas gatherings. George would easily talk about helicopters, airplanes, cars, and vintage electronics. He was gifted in his ability to repair most anything. We all have memories of him building a crystal radio as a teenager as well as multiple tree houses, and repairing our cars. He held fond memories of learning to work on cars with his dad. George attended North Side High School and participated in the marching band. He completed technical school training for electronics and avionics.
George proudly volunteered to serve our country for five years in the US Army in avionics during the Vietnam era. He received an honorable discharge. He worked as an electrician and then as an electronics repair technician with Radio Shack. George was loved by all of us and will be missed, but he will remain in our hearts forever.
