FORT WORTH — Jack “Pappy Jack” Lewis Harrington passed away peacefully Monday, March 30, 2014 at the age of 80.
Memorial service: Private
Jack Lewis Harrington was born August 21,1933 to the late Lewis and Thelma Harrington in Circleville, OH. Jackie, lovingly known as “Pappy Jack” to his many grandchildren dearly loved fishing, baseball and woodworking in his woodshop. He proudly served our country by enlisting in the US Army and served his tour of duty. Jack is retired from American Standard after 19 years of service and also retired from the City of Columbus after 20 years of service. His love for baseball prompted him to coach Little League baseball for more than 5 years. Above all, Pappy Jack was a loving and devoted family man who adored his children and grandchildren and will be missed by all of us.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife, Kathleen Harrington; and sister, Donna Hunt.
Survivors: Son, Mike Harrington and wife Joy; daughter, Pam Salada and husband, James Casteel; daughter, Tamera Harrington and husband, Ron Burchill; son, Greg Meyers and wife Wendy; grandson, Charlie Roley and wife Jamie; grandson, Doney Roley and wife Tammy; granddaughter, Amelia (Ami) Salada; grandson, Dennis Engles; granddaughter Sara Daniel and husband Blake; grandson, Greg Meyers, Jr.; great-grandson, Mason Roley; great-granddaughter, Briley Roley; great-granddaughter, Megan and Kayleigh Daniel; and many friends.
