Fort Worth’s Oldest and First Funeral Home - Since 1879

James Wayne Walker

ARLINGTON-James Wayne Walker, 59, left this life and awoke in the presence of his Savior on Thursday, July 4, 2019.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Greenwood Cemetery, Rev. Weslie Odom of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Arlington will officiate.
James was born October 6, 1959 in Houston, Texas to the late Robert Foskett Walker (USAF MSgt) and Judith Ann Haynes Walker. James lived in a group home, and liked to give his caregivers a hard time, but only in jest. Just ask them about his shoes! He was playful and funny and loved by his family, caregivers and his friends at the group home. He will be greatly missed, but his family takes comfort in knowing his soul is hidden safely with Christ, awaiting that glorious day of resurrection when his body will also be made alive, whole, and complete, free of all pain and illness.
Survivors: Brother, Robert Scott Walker of Abilene, Texas; sister, Linda Kaye Walker Pinkston of Fort Worth, Texas; nieces and nephews, Sarah, Hannah, John and James; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
