Condolence Messages

  1. Jennifer, I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing your mom, but you can tell she was loved by many!!! Prayers for you & the rest of your family!!! God rest her soul!!!!

  2. I always enjoyed talking, texting or posting with Julie. She had a great sense of humor and a positive attitude towards everything.
Our Sunday School class was always interesting largely because of her. She will be missed by many many people.

  3. I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Juli in Goose Bayin High School. Prayers to your family.

  4. Im sooo incredibly sorry for your loss. I know there are no words that a person can give to make you feel any better right now. But please take comfort in knowing that you are all in my thoughts and family’s prayers.

  5. I met Julie back in 1970 at Goose Air Base Labrador. I was stationed there with the Air Force. We were both members of the Goose Little Theatre group. Julie was a lovely person, and I’m sure she will be missed by many.

  6. Much love and many prayers for you all, she will be sorely missed! All the little ones are probably so confused! I’ll miss all the pictures of the kids playing and doing Legos and having fun at MomMom’s. She was always such a supportive friend and that meant so much to me. Thank you Julia, you were one of the good ones.

My heart sunk when I got the news of her passing. When Elizabeth first introduced me to Julia, she greeted me with open arms and like that I became family. She had treated me with nothing but kindness and like a son and I will never forget the love she showed me. Although I cannot be there for the rest of the family I am there in spirit. She will be missed.

  8. Mark E. Gelinas, Sr.

Julia and I were juniors and seniors together in high school, but it wasn’t too many years later that the shared experience of living on that remote base would bring us closer as friends. Her faith and love for her family has been inspirational and I will certainly miss her frequent on-line presence.

  9. Prayers are being sent from all of us here at work Martin. May God bless your family in these tough times.

  10. Danielle Rosario

I loved Julia from the first moment I met her–yes, she spoke to me first. She was always so warm, open and genuine. There was an instant connection. Throughout my life she continued to follow me via social media and no matter what, offered her love and support. I love her and will miss my friend!

  11. So sorry for your loss. Prayers for you Martin and your family during this time. Philippians 4:13.

  12. Jennifer, my condolences to you and your family on the loss of your mom.

  13. BetteLee Matthews Henry

I knew Julia at William C. Hinkley High School in Aurora, Colorado. We were sophomores together. When she and her family moved away, I lost touch with her. Years later, she heard from my kid sister that my husband was dying and she got in touch with me. We’ve been in touch on Facebook ever since. I enjoyed learning about her children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. And, of course, the love of her life, Jimmy. Julia, you will be dearly missed by all of us that knew you. I love you!

  14. Vicky Sheffield Nabors

So very sorry for your loss. She always seemed so kind and obviously loved her family. I will miss her messages. I am one of the many Goose Bay kids.

  15. Rena Brown Griffin (Julie Savu)

So very sorry for your loss of this wonderful woman…we were friends in high school, Aurora Hinkley , our sophomore year. We both moved the next year to other places and lost touch until we first reconnected on Classmates, then on Facebook. It was wonderful to get to know each other’s family through pictures and writings. I lost my son a few years before Scott passed (my son’s middle name was Scott). We supported each other during those trying times and since on birthdays and Angelversaries. Our Christian faith melded us together as forever friends. I am so very blessed to have known her.. she will remain forever in my heart. I will hold up the Owens/Johnson families in my thoughts and prayers.
