Kermit Lee Hosford

MINERAL WELLS-Kermit Lee Hosford passed away Thursday February 6, 2020 at the age of 73.
Graveside services: to be held at a future date in Double Springs, Alabama in the family plot where he will be laid to rest with his parents and siblings.
Kermit was born to the late Versie and Emma Hosford on Wednesday, January 8, 1947 in Marston, Missouri. He had many diverse interests and hobbies. Most recently, since retirement, he has created walking canes using various tree branches and other items he came across. But his most avid interest was being a Papa to his grandchildren. He really was a man of many talents, working in car body shops, antique sales, builder and carpenter, and his final job as a jeweler. He worked for years in local pawn shops until he started his own business. He owned and operated The Jewelry Box in Weatherford, Texas for many years before retiring 10 years ago. Kermit was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Mineral Wells.
Kermit is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Avoughn Hosford and Jim Hosford; and sister, Ruth Hosford.
Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Cathie Hosford, of Mineral Wells, Texas; son, John Hosford and spouse, Sara of Allen, Texas.; daughter, Amber Sarver and spouse, Chris of Mineral Wells, Texas; also surviving him are the treasures and lights of his life, his grandchildren, Rachel Martin of Euless, Texas, Kayla Sarver of Fort Worth, Texas, Madison Sarver of Mineral Wells, Texas and Kyle Hosford of Allen, Texas; He doted on his great grandchildren, Aubrey and Braden Martin, and Sereniti Avila; big brother, Gary “Bill” Hosford and wife, Wilma of Surfside Beach, South Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
