Mary Nell Henderson

FORT WORTH — Mary Nell Henderson passed away peacefully Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at the age of 83.
Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, in Brown, Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel. Interment: Mary will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Walter Henderson, in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Katy Relay for Life or to Houston Hospice.
Mary was born July 24, 1932, to the Rev. M.E. and Marie Brinkley in Cleburne. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and a longtime member of Handley Assembly of God Church. She loved quilting, spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and was also known for her cake-decorating expertise.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and her beloved husband, Walter Henderson.
Survivors: Sons, Richard Henderson and wife, Victoria Prescott, Dennis Henderson and wife, Leslye, David Henderson and wife, Ying, Jeffrey Henderson and wife, Julie, and Gregg Henderson and wife, Pam; daughter, Jennifer Henderson; brothers, Marshall Brinkley and Charles Brinkley; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many friends.
