Betty Aline Sledz

Betty Aline Sledz passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the age of 87.

Funeral service:  1 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.

Visitation:  11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (2 hours prior to service) at the funeral home.

Interment:  Betty will be laid to rest at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery.

Betty was born on July 10, 1935 to the late Henry Allen Parker and Flonnie Mae Yancey in Durant, Oklahoma.  She graduated from Paschal High School.  She worked for southwestern Bell, Tandy Corporation and Fort Worth School of Massage before retiring.  Before Covid, Betty attended Burleson Senior Center watching “Grit” on TV.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by us all.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; son, Thomas Frank Henry Sledz; son, Walter Carl Sledz; two brothers; and six sisters.

Survivors:  Son, Victor Wilcoxson and wife, Maria; son, Gary Joe Wilcoxson and wife, Tina; grandsons, Victor Wilcoxson, Jr., Tony Wilcoxson, Joey Wilcoxson and Josh Wilcoxson; granddaughters, Mellanie Somerall and Alanna Dearick; numerous great grandchildren; and only surviving sister, Estelle Conway.
