On Wednesday January 18, 2023 Brenda Silliman Hogan loving wife, mother and friend to many passed peacefully at age 81. Loving family by her side.

Brenda was born Brenda Lee Brown in Monticello Arkansas to Rufus Wilson Brown and Maude Dell Loveless on June 24,1941. Brenda lived and was raised in Hampton, Arkansas.

She moved to Fort Worth Texas in 1969 where she raised her 2 sons Thomas Silliman and Michael Silliman. She worked for Tandy Crafts for many years, then S & H Green Stamps and later for General Dynamics / Lockheed Martin for 20 years in clerical, secretarial and management support.

She met Gary Hogan in 1982 and they were married in 1984 spending their 40 years together sharing a graced, happy life. She also raised with much love and nurturing Gary's 3 children Jennifer, Michael and Ryan. Brenda was known for her very friendly, out going, joyous, loving personality with ability to connect and become life time friends with everyone she met.

Brenda and Gary enjoyed and shared a life time passion for live Texas music from which they both became part of a large family of friends of like minded music fans and performing artists. They enjoyed many travels together enjoying cruises to Mexico, trips to New England, London and many other favorite places. She loved cheering on her Arkansas Razorbacks and the Texas Rangers. She loved to read books, cook, bake and share her favorite recipes.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus Brown and Maude Dell McCally and brother, John C. Brown.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Gary and her children, Thomas and wife Connie, Michael and wife Stacy, Jennifer and fiance Paul, Michael and wife Jessica, Ryan and fiance LaShunda, grandchildren, Amber, Brooke, Christian, Anthony, Alyssa, and Lilia and great grandchildren, Dillan, Emily and Finley.

 

A Memorial Celebration of Life will be planned and held at an announced future date
