Carita Voncier Stevens

Fort Worth-Carita Voncier Stevens passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the age of 62.

Graveside service:  10 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Skyvue Memorial Gardens.

Carita was born January 11, 1961 to Douglas Powell Johnson and Mary Esther Jackson in Chicago, Illinois. She attended and graduated from Andress High School in El Paso, Texas.  She was a devoted sister in love and light with Jehovah’s Witness Organization.  She always loved to read the Bible with family and attending the weekly meetings of Jehovah’s Witnesses, cooking, cleaning, traveling and living life to the fullest.  She also loved singing, watching movies, talking on the phone, and making jokes.  You always felt God’s love upon meeting her.  She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, aunt, sister and Godmother and will be deeply missed.

Carita is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Esther Jackson; brother, Quint A. Johnson; and sister, Renee Iyvette Johnson.

Survivors:  Husband of 30 years, Mark Stevens; son, David Stevens; father, Douglas Johnson; step mother, Kimberly Johnson; and an additional host of nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters and several Godchildren.
