Charles Edward (Ed) Arrant

June 9, 1953 — March 20, 2024

Charles Edward (Ed) Arrant, affectionately known as Bear passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
A brave man who married into a family of two teen-agers and made it work. Then became a father in his own right 18 months later.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Arrant (of 39 years) and sons, Charles Early and Michael Arrant; daughter, Katherin Wilkerson; grandchildren and great grandchildren of un-numbered variety. The one best known is Jeffery Barber; brother, William Arrant; sister, Aileen Mulaney both of Ohio.
He was a Master Mechanic (4 Masters) and a graduate of Tarleton State University. He enjoyed working with The Boy Scouts and had been with The Brazos Valley District for many years serving both the District and Troop 75. He was a long time Merit Badge Counselor and a frequent volunteer at the Brazos Valley Merit Badge College. He was awarded the District Award of Merit in 1998 and considered a friend to many.
Many enjoyed his talents as a musician on both the Bass and Drums, but I think his greatest joy was in helping others.
