In Loving Memory of Cheryl Rena Hope
Cheryl was a kind, gentle soul whose quiet strength and deep compassion touched everyone who knew her. She loved her family and friends dearly and was blessed to spend time with her son, brothers, and sisters near the end of her life.
A true warrior at heart, Cheryl faced a long and courageous battle with cancer. Though she ultimately overcame the disease, she continued to face many health challenges with grace, dignity, and unwavering faith.
Cheryl’s love for life was reflected in her many passions. She had a deep affection for animals, especially horses and cats, and was a member of Country Place Stables, where she found joy in grooming, riding, and spending time with her dear friend Leslie. She was an avid reader and cherished quiet moments on her patio, curled up with a good book.
Raised in a military family, Cheryl valued the unique experiences of living and traveling around the world. One of her favorite places was North Africa, where she often reminisced about exploring ancient ruins, playing along the Mediterranean beaches, and learning how to ride horses.
Cheryl had a spirit of adventure and cherished her travels to Mexico, Las Vegas, and San Francisco with her dear friend Jackie. She also enjoyed memorable visits to Colorado with her sister Charlette to spend time with their sister Carla.
After earning her associate’s degree in accounting, Cheryl dedicated over 20 years to Radio Shack as a purchasing manager, where her professionalism and dedication were highly valued.
Deeply spiritual, Cheryl possessed a sincere appreciation for people of all walks of life. Growing up on military bases around the world, she attended many different Christian denominations, which enriched her understanding and respect for faith and culture.
Cheryl will be lovingly remembered by her son, Lance, her sisters and brothers, and all who were fortunate to call her a friend. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed.
In honor of Cheryl’s life, memorial contributions may be made to any cancer research organization or animal rescue organization of your choice.
