It is with heavy hearts, yet grateful for a lifetime of joyful memories, that we announce the passing of Christopher Steven Bales, age 35, who left this world on January 27, 2026, in Joshua, Texas. Born on April 26, 1990, in Omaha, Nebraska, Christopher was a spirited soul whose fun-loving, inquisitive nature touched the lives of all who knew him.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Elise Bales; his father, Jeffrey Bales; and his brother, Jeffrey Bales Jr. Christopher's big heart and passionate opinions made him a fierce advocate for those he loved. He never hesitated to stand up for himself or others and was deeply loyal to family and friends.
A true sports enthusiast, Christopher had a lifelong love for baseball. He was a devoted fan of the Houston Astros, especially Craig Biggio, and also enjoyed cheering on the Texas Rangers. Outside of sports, he found joy in exploring new restaurants-particularly Asian cuisine-grilling and experimenting with new recipes, kayaking local waters, watching movies, gaming, and sharing laughter with those closest to him. Christopher embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity, always eager for his next adventure.
Throughout his working life, Christopher spent time in the oil and gas industry, where he learned to operate hydrovacs, gaining valuable hands-on experience and technical skills. He also worked as a concrete mixer operator, taking pride in his work and learning each role with dedication. Later, Christopher was employed by Sundance Dumpster Hauling as a dumpster truck driver, where his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to doing the job right were well known and appreciated.
Christopher attended Westside High School and Stratford High School in Houston, Texas, as well as Horizon High School in Thornton, Colorado. He also pursued college credit at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado.
Christopher was preceded in death by grandparents Armand Bales, Marie Bales, Richard Straka, and Margie Straka.
