Burleson, Texas — Clara Juanita Harris Coker, age 82, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Clara was born on November 22, 1943, in Amarillo, Texas, to James Frazeur Harris and Marguerite Ursula Flores Harris. On November 1, 1963, she married the love of her life, Jack Coker, and together they shared 55 devoted years of marriage until his passing in 2019.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Coker; her son, Curtis Coker; and her devoted canine companion, Fiona.
Clara is survived by her daughter-in-law, Leah Coker; her daughter and son-in-law, Candice and Eugene Montgomery; and her beloved grandchildren, Caleb (Alicyn) Coker and Madison Montgomery, whom she loved bigger than the sky. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret Orbesen; her brothers, James (Dolores) Harris and Thomas Harris; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A resident of Burleson since 1963, Clara was a hardworking and dedicated professional. She worked as a hairstylist for more than 40 years and was the proud owner of Artistic Image Salon from 1996 until 2015. Beyond her career, Clara and Jack were longtime owners of Briaroaks Rottweilers, beginning in 1986. She found immense joy in raising, showing, and loving her dogs, earning champion titles—including international honors—through her years of dedication.
Clara was a devout Catholic, a faithful and loving wife, a devoted mother and grandmother, and a woman whose strength and kindness touched many lives. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
The Visitation will be at 9:00am, followed by a Rosary at 10:30am, and Service starting at 11:00am; will be held at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Fort Worth, Texas, on Friday, February 13, 2026.
A private Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Clara’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, the Medallion Rottweiler Club, the American Rottweiler Club, or the Colonial Rottweiler Club.
