Cynthia Renae Richter

April 14, 1965 — April 20, 2025

Cynthia Renae Hanzalik Richter was born on April 14, 1965 to Herman and Sharon Hanzalik in Gonzales, TX. Cindy went to heaven on April 20, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. In her time here, she fulfilled many of her dreams and life goals. Being a wife and a mom were dearest to her heart.

Cindy met Robert in high school. She was Robert's best friend and soulmate. They got married on December 13, 1985 in Chickasaw, OK. They spent over forty years together as they walked through the many chapters of life.

Cindy was a loving mother to four adopted children. She taught them life skills such as cooking different foods or doing daily chores. Also she shared her love of art and history with her children whether that was painting classes, visiting museums, movie nights, or telling stories. She had visited China three times and enjoyed retelling the history. She wanted her children to be prepared for the world but also to appreciate the finer parts of life.

Cindy graduated from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in 1985 with a Bachelor's of Arts. She also received her Master's of Fine Arts from Texas Woman's University in Denton, TX. She incorporated her art throughout her life. For her wedding, she designed her own dress as well as adding embellishments to the flower bouquets and bridesmaids' dresses.

The wedding venue was bright and lively, a Christmas delight, because of her artistry. Her pastime was filled with painting, sketching, sculpting, and sewing. Once her children came

along, she sewed clothes and blankets for them which often included cartoon character embroidery. She showed her children how to draw and paint beautiful scenes.

Memories of Cindy will live on through her parents Herman and Sharon Hanzalik, her husband Robert, and her four children: John, Jasmine, Jada, and Jaymie Richter of Haltom City, TX. She is also survived by her sister Rebecca Kelsey and her family of East Gandy, CT: husband Kevin and their children William and Sydney. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Anton and Gertrude Hanzalik and Kenneth and Charlotte (Peggy) Mang from Gonzales, TX.

Cindy will be laid to rest in Hermann Sons Cemetery in Gonzales, TX. She was loved and will be deeply missed.
