Dakota J. Byrd, of Bunker Hill, Illinois, passed away Monday, April 6, 2026, in Rhome, Texas.
Dakota lived for excitement. A dedicated employee of Imperial Manufacturing Group, he was an avid classic car enthusiast who loved vintage engines, the outdoors, live concerts, and amusement parks. Most of all, he cherished time spent laughing and making memories with friends and family.
He is survived by his parents, Susan and Donald Byrd; fiancée, Michelle Conlee; daughter, Bailey Byrd; and stepdaughters, Raven and Katelyn Conlee.
Preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Byrd Sr., stepmother Susan Byrd, and several aunts and uncles.
His legacy of kindness and fun lives on through his family.
