Danny L. James

HUDSON OAKS-Danny L. James passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at the age of 63.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 2 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2021 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
VISITATION: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2021 at the funeral home.
Danny was born Wednesday July 31, 1957 to the late Jim A. and Ora Nell James in Spur, Texas. Danny graduated from Permian High School, Class of 1975. Danny was a salesman for most of his career. He was well known in the car sales industry and worked for Tiger Auto in Odessa, Texas. Men like Danny are not easy to come by. He was a mountain of a man; steady, strong and unmovable. He also loved a good joke or any chance to make you smile. Danny was an avid golfer as well as a sports fan of all kinds. He coached football and baseball for years and loved to watch UFC. He loved music of all kinds and occasionally would show off his dance moves. Danny also loved going to the casino and would sometimes win a little money. Danny loved his family more than anyone could ever imagine. Love like his was special and unforgettable and it showed when he expressed it to his children and grandchildren. He was an amazing person and will be missed.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents; and nephew, Brandyn James.
SURVIVORS: Son, Daniel James; daughter, Laci Crosson and husband, BJ; grandsons, Mason James and Jaxson Crosson; granddaughters, Shaylee Crosson, Sydney James and Lauren Harris; sister, Sabrina James; brother, Lann James; special friend, Marnie Schneider; niece, Krista Wiehle and husband, Scott; nephew, Will Jones and wife, Shelly; great nieces, Kennedy Wiehle, Prestley Wiehle and Sailer Wiehle; great nephew, Zeke Wiehle; and furry companion, Gus.
