Donald W. Wooten passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023 at the age of 73.
He was an adventurer, hunter, inventor and always looking for the next great idea! He took over the Wooten Family’s metal fabrication business Wooten Metal, Inc. and later retired doing what he loved – traveling and inventions! He traveled all around the world, with his favorites being fishing in Alaska, hunting in Colorado, the Florida Keys. He also loved discovering Germany, Amsterdam, Holland and numerous other places in the US.
Donald is preceded in death by his father, Frank Arthur Wooten Jr.; his brother, Dennis J. Wooten; and his grandson, Dylan Reed Hemby.
Donald was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be missed by us all.
Survivors are his mother, Martha M. Wooten; brother, David L. Wooten; his wife, Janis J. Wooten; his son, Brian W. Wooten; and daughter, Wendy J. Hemby and their spouses Jennifer Wooten and Gary Hemby; grandchildren: Joshua D. Hemby, Cade S. Wooten, Alex Hutchings, Peyton J. Hemby, Jordan P. Hemby and Luke D. Wooten; great-grandchildren, Baiden Coultrip, Greyson D. Hemby and Madalynn N. Hemby.
The immediate family will have a private service to celebrate Don’s life.
