Dorothy Dell Harris

September 23, 1973 — June 27, 2024

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Dorothy Dell Harris, a devoted wife, loving daughter, selfless mother, exceptional grandmother, cherished sister, and loyal friend, who left us unexpectedly on June 27, 2024, at the age of 50. Dorothy's life was a testament to unwavering love, boundless generosity, and tireless dedication to her family, friends, and community. Dorothy was born on September 23, 1973, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, to William “Bill” Webb and Judy Vincent Webb.

From an early age, she exhibited a nurturing spirit and a profound sense of compassion that would define her entire life.

In 1994, Dorothy married John William Harris II, with whom she shared a life of love and partnership. Together, they raised a family rooted in strong values and unbreakable bonds. As a mother, Dorothy was known for her unwavering support of her sons, Joshua and Joseph Harris. Dorothy was the embodiment of selflessness, always placing the needs and happiness of her children above her own. Her nurturing nature and steadfast support shaped her children's lives and inspired all who knew her.

She had a heart of gold and was constantly on the move and eager to help others. Her trips to Oklahoma and her beloved cats, Mojo, Appollo, and dogs, Winston and Sasha. As well as, belated pets, Mittens, Abby, Baby, and Harley brought her immense joy. A woman of deep faith, Dorothy found comfort in her relationship with Jesus Christ, especially in her later years. Her dedication to her family was evident in every call, visit, and shared meals. She treasured every moment with her loved ones.

Dorothy’s love extended to her daughters-in-law, Cassidy, and Raven whom she cherished deeply. Dorothy found profound joy while exhibiting the beauty of her sunrises and sunsets at her country home in Boyd, Texas. She also enjoyed whether it was spending time with her family and friends talking about old memories or making new ones. She enriched the lives of those around her through her many talents and her generous spirit. Her legacy of love and kindness lives on in her children, her grandchildren, and her extended family, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her father, William “Bill” Webb. She is survived by her husband, John Willam Harris II, and her children, Joshua John James Harris, wife, Raven Brooke Thrasher Harris, and children Evangeline Harmony Jo Harris and John Henry James Harris; Joseph William Lee Harris, wife, Cassidy Renae Harris, and daughter, Clover Ann Marie Harris.
