With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Eva Mae McIntyre, age 90, on Oct 26th, 2024 in Fort Worth, Tx. She passed peacefully, in her sleep.
Eva was born on July 26,1934 in Electra, Texas and lived a life rich with adventure and resilience. As a young woman, she married her beloved husband, Louis P. (Mac) McIntyre , and bravely embraced the life of a military wife. Through countless re-locations, both stateside and abroad, she created warm and welcoming home for her family, fostering a sense of stability and belonging wherever they landed. Her experiences instilled in her a deep appreciation for different cultures and a lifelong love of travel and adventure.
Beyond her role as a military spouse and devoted mother, Eva was a survivor. Her courageous battle with breast cancer was a testament to her strength and determination. She faced this challenge head-on, emerging as an inspiration to those closest to her.
In her later years, Eva continued to embrace life with passion. She and Mac explored the world, visiting (through Mac military assignments) Paris, Germany, and Alaska. She was an avid reader of all types of books, magazines, and her vibrant spirit touched the lives of many.
Eva was preceded in death by her Father (Virgil), Mother (Viola) and brother (Buddy). She is survived by her 3 kids Michael, Sharon, Debbie, 5 grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of cherished friends.
