Gilbert “Gil” Collins

ARLINGTON-Gilbert (Gil) Thomas Collins passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020 at the age of 94.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 1:30 P.M. Monday, October 26, 2020 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas, Lane 3.
Gil will lie in state from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. Monday, October 26, 2020 at Brown Owens & Brumley Family Funeral Home in Fort Worth.
Gil was born Wednesday November 24, 1926 to the late Thomas and Claudia Collins in San Antonio, Texas.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and kind and cheerful friend. He was a radio operator in the Army where he earned a WWII Victory Medal and an Army of Occupation Medal. Gil was loved and admired and will be missed by many.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Claudia R. Sontag and husband, John E. Sontag, grandson Sean O. Sontag; granddaughter ,Jessica L. Davis and husband, Anthony Davis; and great granddaughter, Kylie R. Davis.
