Gloria Jean Sissom

BURLESON-Gloria Jean Sissom, 80, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 in Burleson, Texas.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Garden of Memories in Sweetwater, Texas.
Gloria was born on Sunday, June 16, 1940 to Marjorie Lamphere and Paul Corfield in Auburn, New York. Originally from Red Creek NY, Gloria came to Texas in 1985. She met and married Joel Raymond Sissom on December 13, 1988 in Paint Rock, TX. She worked at Baptist Memorial Hospital in San Angelo, Texas as well as Walmart in both Sweetwater and San Angelo. She was a member of S.N.A.P (Senior Nutrition Activities Program) as well as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Gloria loved to volunteer for fundraisers held for the Senior Center and local nursing homes. Her last major volunteer job was volunteering with the Wesley Thrift Shop in New York. She was a loving mother, sister, Gigi, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
Gloria is preceded in death by her husband of 16 years, her parents, and ten siblings.
SURVIVORS: Sister, Shirley VanAmburg (Chuck); daughter, Bonnie Hogan; son, Raymond Hogan; son, Marc Hogan; daughter, Marketa Willis (Barry); daughter, Brenda Gomez (Richard); daughter Jacque Rhoades (Marvin); grandson, Joshua Hogan (Abby); grandson, Austin Hogan; grandson, Dylan Trine; grandson, Alec Trine; grandson, Brad Willis (Chandra); granddaughter, Raye Anne Gomez; grandson, Ray Cornutt (Dawn); grandson, Michael Gomez (Patricia); granddaughter, Amy Fann (Travis); grandson, Ricky Gomez; grandson, Jeremy Rhoades (Kendra); 28 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, special friends Irene Montemayor and Mark Trine, and her fur baby, Abbey.
