SAGINAW-Irma J. Ludwig passed away peacefully Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the age of 97.
Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
Visitation: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Interment: Irma will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Max Ludwig at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Irma’s memory to Gladney Center for Adoption, 6300 John Ryan Drive, Fort Worth, Texas 76132
Irma was born March 17, 1921 to the late Lamar and Esther Gritz in Hennessey, Oklahoma. She loved sewing, baking pies, crocheting and loved her dogs. She retired in 1981 from Conoco as a cashier after many years of service. Her greatest accomplishment was her children and grandchildren. Irma was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and will be deeply missed.
The family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice for the compassion and excellent care that was given to Irma during her final days.
Irma is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Max Ludwig; parents, Lamar and Esther Gritz; and son, I. M. Ludwig.
Survivors: Son, Bob Ludwig and wife, Vicki; daughter, Carol Bailey and husband, Neal; daughter in law, Sheryl Ludwig; grandchildren, Amanda Arizpe, Lenyse Koontz, Dawn Ramirez, Jennifer Snodgrass, Max Ludwig, Amy Pennington, Heather Arseneault, Cerissa Bailey and Ryan Bailey; great grandchildren, Travis Arizpe, Matthew Arizpe, Jarod Arizpe, Jacob Arizpe, Adam Koontz, Emily Koontz, Chris Ludwig, Brittni Reyes, Jeremy Ramirez, Jessika Ramirez, Mallory Robinson, Chase Wolff, Aubrey Ludwig, Landrey Ludwig, Aidan Pennington, Kayla Williams, Corey Arseneault, Nicholas Arseneault, Darius Martin, Kenzie Bailey and Jaxson Bailey; numerous great- great grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
