James Edward Cummings

James E. Cummings passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the age of 75.

Celebration of life:  10 a.m. Friday, March 24, 2023 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.

Visitation:  5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the funeral home.

Burial:  James will be laid to rest at Emerald Hills Cemetery.

James was born Tuesday, June 10, 1947 in  Mosheim, Texas to the late Clovis and Georgia Cummings.  He loved fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be deeply missed.

James is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Dana Lynn Seals; and sister, Sheila McGehee.

Survivors:  Loving wife of 32 years, Sherrie Dee Cummings; daughter, Lisa Cummings; son, Jason Cummings and wife, Rachel; granddaughter, Brittany Williams and husband, Keith; granddaughter, Victoria Walker and husband, Jeremy; grandson, Blas Lujan IV; grandson, Tyler Cummings and wife, Lexa; granddaughter, Brandi Cummings; granddaughter, Whitney Seals; granddaughter, Tiffany Seals; granddaughter, Courtney Seals; grandson, Terrance Seals; numerous great grandchildren; and many friends.
