Janet Louise Ator York of Aledo, Texas, lovingly referred to as 'Bubba' by her family and friends, died on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024. She was born in Lipan, Texas, on May 10th, 1930, to parents Nellie Roberts Ator and Klondike Ator. Janet was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Joseph Howell York Jr.; sister, Kay Reed; brother, Ted Ator; son-in-law, Jim White; and granddaughter, Jordan Cook. She is survived by her daughter, Paula White; son, Mark York, and wife, Susan; daughter, Shelda Cook, and husband, Steve; and her brother, Russell Ator. A devoted grandmother, Bubba is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and an amazing homemaker who kept her witty sense of humor until the very end. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
