Janice Geesa

HURST, TEXAS–Janice Geesa passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 87.
FUNERAL SERVICE; 10 a.m. Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Brown, Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
VISITATION: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at the funeral home.
Janice was born September 26, 1933 in Hobbs, New Mexico to the late Jim and Nadeen Jones. For the past 50 years Janice made a home in Hurst where she loved visiting with friends and family on her backyard swing and gardening in her yard. She was known for having a wonderful sense of humor and loved even a dirty joke. When she laughed she made others smile and laugh, too. Because she had such an infectious personality many of her son’s friends ended up having secret crushes on her. Janice had earned her associates degree in respiratory therapy and for 20 years she worked as a respiratory therapist for several hospitals in the Fort Worth Medical District. When she was not working she loved “PUSH’s Country swing dancing, rhythm and blues music and spending beach weekends and vacations with her family. There was no doubt she truly loved her patients, but her greatest love was for her boys. She loved them so much and would defend them even when she probably shouldn’t. Her boys and all her other family and friends will greatly miss her.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Aletia Lane; her brother, Jess Wilmoth, Jr. and her youngest son, Douglas Geesa.
Survivors: Son, Gregg Geesa and wife, Belinda; son, Keven Geesa; grandson, Jay McDaniel and wife, Christi; granddaughter, Shannon Senn and husband, Waylon; granddaughter, Morgan Geesa; great granddaughter, Jenna McDaniel; great granddaughter, Chelsea Bell; great grandson, Aaden Senn; great granddaughter, Lila Beth Senn; great grandson, Colton Senn; cousin, Sherry Stevens and husband, Mark; brother, Jimmy Jones and wife, Rosie and many nieces and nephews.
