Jerry Kinney

Jerry Kinney, age 93 passed from this life on July 5, 2025. He was born in Indianapolis, IN to Martha & Everett Kinney, grew up in Kansas City, KS, attending Our Saviours Lutheran Elementary School and Argentine Jr. High.

Jerry honorably served his nation entering the Army National Guard in 1947, then US Marine Corps in 1956 where he rose to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. Jerry was stationed in Barstow, CA when he retired after 35 years of service in 1993.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife of more than 50 years, Mary Kinney of Humboldt, KS. He is survived by his son Mark Kinney, age 63 of CA and daughter Leslie Kinney, age 61 of Texas, and many nieces and nephews.

Jerry resided in Ft. Worth, TX with his daughter for the last 13 years of life. 

His interment will be at the Dallas - Ft. Worth National Cemetery with military honors on July 30, 2025 at 10:15am.
