Jerry Allen Lee, age 79, of Denton, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025. He was born in Clovis, New Mexico on December 22, 1945, to Warren Allen Lee and Dorathea Rosenthal Lee.
Jerry enjoyed a long and successful career in finance with GTE/Verizon, where he was highly respected for his dedication and leadership. He retired in 2001, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and integrity.
Beyond his career, Jerry dedicated much of his life to traveling the world, enjoying home and providing service to his community. He was a faithful member of Whites Chapel Methodist Church in Southlake, where his faith and friendships enriched his life. He served as Secretary of the Optimist Club and Treasurer for Texas Trust Credit Union, reflecting his commitment to helping others. At Robson Ranch, Jerry embraced life fully-participating in Bocce, golf, bridge, poker, and several social groups where he formed many lasting friendships. As a passionate global traveler, Jerry cherished experiencing different cultures and sharing those adventures with family and many friends.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Gayle Jackson Lee; his sister, Cherri Lee; his children, Allen Lee and Lori Trexler; and his three beloved grandchildren, Alexis Lee, Kylee Trexler, and Daniel Hamer. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him for his kindness, integrity, and devotion to family.

Jerry’s life was defined by love for family, service to others, and a spirit of joy that touched everyone he encountered. He will be deeply missed.
