Jerry Rogers, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and faithful servant, passed away on May 31, 2025, at the age of 75. He was born on July 26, 1949, in Oklahoma and grew up on a farm where he learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and the love of family. From humble beginnings, Jerry's life journey would take him far, but the love he carried for his family and faith would always be his guiding light.
In the early 1980s, Jerry met the love of his life, Linda. It was love at first sight, and their bond was immediate and undeniable. They were married soon after, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Jerry and Linda shared 43 years of marriage, and their love never wavered- it was a love that transcended time, distance, and the trials of life.
As a salesman for an oil company, Jerry traveled extensively, and he and Linda lived in many cities across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, as well as a memorable time in Israel. Their final home was in Fort Worth, where they spent the last 25 years of their lives, surrounded by friends, family, and their deep devotion to one another.
Jerry's faith was the cornerstone of his life. He was a man of unwavering devotion, always seeking to grow in his walk with God. As a teacher of Hebrew and the Word of God, Jerry's passion for his faith was evident in all that he did. He believed in spreading the love of Christ and the wisdom of the Scriptures, touching the hearts of those around him with the message of hope, peace, and grace.
Jerry was the proud father of two sons, Shannon and John, and the cherished grandfather to many grandchildren. His family was his greatest joy, and he poured love into them every single day. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A service to celebrate Jerry's life and his unwavering faith will be held on June 5th, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Brown Owens and Brumley Funeral Home. The family invites all who knew and loved Jerry to join them in honoring a man who lived his life with grace, love, and a deep commitment to God.
Jerry is deeply missed, but his legacy lives on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey here may have ended, but his love and faith will continue to guide those he left behind. Rest in peace, Jerry. You will forever be in our hearts.
