Jimmy Ray Enochs, 72 of Alvord, Texas passed away surrounded by those he loved on June 14, 2025. The family will be having a Memorial Service to honor Jim’s life to be held at the First Baptist Church of Alvord on Friday June 20, 2025, at 2pm with Pastor Dan Green officiating the service.
Jimmy was born on December 24, 1952, in Linn Missouri to Katherine and Ray Enochs. Jim was a hard-working man from a very young age. Mechanics and running heavy equipment was his specialty. He was self employed for many years operating 3 Sons Construction with his three sons and many laborers.
One of Jim’s favorite sayings was, “Go fast!” Jim loved going fast in whatever had a motor in it. Jim loved serving his community, he was mayor of Alvord from 2019-2023 and served on Alvord’s city council for many years. He gave not only his time and service but funded many school fundraisers that would sucker him into sponsorship. Everyone who knew him loved him.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Sarah, who stood by him through it all, cherishing every memory good and loud. He is also survived by sons Clay (Sara), Matt and Luc, four grandchildren Kirsten, Dub, Truitt and Sadie, one great granddaughter Ray and a host of friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his son, David.
He will be truly missed but never forgotten. The family would like to thank all who have sent their warm condolences.
