FORT WORTH-Josephine Perez passed away Monday, February 7, 2022 at the age of 77.
VISITATION: 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Brown, Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 16 2022 at Brown, Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
INTERMENT: Josephine will be laid to rest in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Josephine was born July 15, 1944 in San Antonio, Texas to Maria Avalos and Candelario C. De Leon. She enjoyed watching horror movies and spending time and cooking french fries for her grandchildren. She loved sewing clothes for her children, making beaded bracelets for her family and friends, and making hair bows for Angie, her granddaughters and friends. Josephine received a high school diploma and later went on to work for Loma Plastics, General Dynamic, and the Army Air Force Exchange Center. She was also a member of the South Side Full Gospel Church. Her faith was important to her and she enjoyed reading the bible and teaching her family about the word of God. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Joe E. Perez Sr.; parents; sister, Angelina Decena; sister, Susie Rodriguez; sister, Gloria De Leon; and brother, Candelario De Leon Jr.
SURVIVORS: Brother, Andrew J. De Leon and wife, Felicia; brother, George A. De Leon; sister, Isabel Flores; daughter, Judy Ann Sanchez and husband, Rogelio; daughter, Mary Christine Rivera and husband, Martin; son, Joe E. Perez Jr.; son, Mark Anthony Perez and wife, Marie; daughter, Angelina Perez; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
