With heavy hearts, yet unwavering hope in Christ, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, Jovonny Matos, who entered the presence of his Savior on June 17, 2026, at the age of 37 after a courageous battle with stage IV lymphoma.
Jovonny's life was defined by his unwavering love for Jesus Christ. He lived to share the hope of the Gospel, faithfully planting seeds of God's love and truth wherever he went. Whether through a conversation, an act of kindness, a prayer, or simply the way he loved others, Jovonny reflected the heart of Christ and encouraged countless people to draw closer to Him.
To know Jovonny was to experience genuine compassion, steadfast faith, and a joyful spirit. Even in the midst of immense suffering, he demonstrated remarkable courage, grace, and trust in God's promises. His testimony inspired everyone who had the privilege of walking alongside him.
Above all, Jovonny cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a faithful brother and friend whose greatest joy was spending time with those he loved. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the faith he shared, and the family he adored.
Though our hearts ache in his absence, we rejoice knowing that Jovonny is completely healed and forever at home with the Lord. As Scripture reminds us, "Well done, good and faithful servant." His race is finished, his faith has become sight, and he now rests in the eternal peace and joy of Jesus Christ.
Jovonny is survived by his loving wife, Monica, his beloved children, his father, siblings, extended family, and many dear friends whose lives were forever changed by his love and faith.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in August in Pennsylvania and live streamed. Family and friends are invited to gather as we remember Jovonny's life, celebrate the hope he found in Christ, and honor the incredible legacy he leaves behind.
