Karen Kay Bovo

Karen Kay Bovo passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026. She was born on April 25, 1962, in Marysville, California and spent much of her life in Fort Worth, Texas, where she built a life filled with love, family, and simple joys.

Karen was the kind of person who found happiness in the little things. She never needed extravagant moments to feel fulfilled—her greatest treasures were time spent with those she loved. Holidays were especially dear to her, as they meant family gathered around one another, laughter echoing through the home, and memories being made that would last a lifetime. She looked forward to every celebration with excitement and cherished every opportunity to be together.

One of Karen’s sweetest traditions was giving cards to the people she loved most. Whether celebrating a birthday, a holiday, or simply reminding someone they were cherished, she found joy in making others feel seen, remembered, and loved. It was one of the many quiet, thoughtful ways she shared her love with those around her.

Karen also enjoyed life’s peaceful moments. She could often be found caring for her plants, relaxing with a game of solitaire, savoring a piece of chocolate, or enjoying the companionship of the cats and dogs she adored. These simple pleasures brought her comfort and reflected the gentle, caring spirit that everyone who knew her came to appreciate.

She proudly worked for the United States Postal Service, dedicating 20 years of service while building friendships and serving her community with pride.

Above all else, Karen’s greatest role was being a mother and grandmother. She leaves behind her beloved sons, Jimmy Richard Bovo and his wife, Jessica, and Jon Michael Bovo, who were the pride and joy of her life. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Christian Bovo and Bailea Simon, who brought her immense happiness and filled her life with love. Her love for her family was unwavering, and the memories they shared will forever remain in their hearts.
