Larry Paul Gabel

COLLEYVILLE-Larry Paul Gabel passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022 at the age of 86.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: To be held at a future date.
Larry was born Tuesday, June 30, 1936 in Harper, Iowa to the late Harold and Alma Dumont Gabel. He grew up and attended schools in Iowa. Larry was a self employed remodeling contractor for over 40 years starting his own business in Kansas City and then again when moving to Texas in 1984. He was a perfectionist in his trade and his excellent work required no advertising other than word of mouth by satisfied customers. Larry was a good Christian man who knew the importance of having God in your life. He loved to play golf, going camping, motorcycles, trucks and eating ice cream. Larry never met a stranger and once you knew him, he was your friend. He will be deeply missed.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bob Gabel and Don Gabel; sister, Norma McIntyre; and first wife, Mary.
SURVIVORS: Wife of 41 years, Linda Gabel; daughter, Barbara DeGroot; daughter, Laura Scandurra; daughter, Karen Speroni; sister, Sharon Hollingsworth; sister, Carolyn Pierson; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
