Layla Marie Brown, she was one of the Brown Owens & Brumley emotional support dogs.
She was a beloved Lab and Husky mix, that was born on March 19, 2014, in Keller, Texas, and filled every day of her 11 year and 11 months with loyalty, joy, and an unforgettable presence.
Layla spent the first five years of her life in Lubbock, Texas, by the side of her dad, Jake Brown, before making her home in Fort Worth, where she continued to spread love, laughter, and comfort to everyone she encountered. She had a remarkable ability to leave a lasting impression on every person fortunate enough to cross her path.
Layla was more than just a family pet—she was a true member of the team at Jake’s gym, where she earned her title as a “professional coach and trainer.” She watched over and encouraged countless athletes, including both her mom and dad, always bringing her unique spirit to the training floor.
Layla played a special role in her family’s story. It was she who first captured the heart of her mom, Sabri Brown, and in doing so, helped bring her mom and dad together. Her presence was a foundation of their bond and their life together.
In her later years, Layla cherished the simple joys of life—sneaking food scraps, cuddling closely with her mom, playfully wrestling with her sister Skye Jean, and riding shotgun on car rides with her dad.
Layla leaves behind a legacy as powerful as her bark—one of unconditional love, fierce loyalty, and deep connection. She will forever be remembered for the warmth she brought into every room, the comfort she gave without hesitation, and the imprint she left on every heart she touched.
