Marilyn G. Winstel, 74, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026. Born on November 7, 1951, in Buffalo, New York, Marilyn later made her home in North Richland Hills, Texas, where she built a life centered around faith, family, and love.

Marilyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose greatest joy came from the time she spent with those she loved most. For 56 wonderful years, she shared a loving marriage with her husband, Robert V. Winstel. Together they created a family filled with cherished memories, laughter, and unwavering support.

Marilyn graduated from Cleveland Hill High School in New York and later worked with Jackson Hewitt Tax Services. She also dedicated time serving others through the American Red Cross Service to Military Families & Disaster Services and as a New York State Advanced EMT with the Lancaster Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

A woman of deep faith, Marilyn was Roman Catholic and participated in Worldwide Marriage Encounter. Her faith guided the compassion and kindness she showed throughout her life.

She enjoyed ceramics and especially treasured traveling with her husband on business trips, spending time with family, and attending picnics, birthday celebrations, and anniversaries. Her warmth, caring spirit, and love for gathering family together will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Left to treasure her memory are her loving husband, Robert V. Winstel; daughter, Frances and husband Dean; son, Robert Winstel and wife Karen; daughter, Amy Winstel; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Jaclyn; brother, Gregg and wife Sylvia; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas A. Winstel, and daughter, Dawn M. Winstel; as well as her parents, Lois M. Schmidt and Thomas R. Schmidt; and sister, Deborah Schmidt.
