Mark Albert Peet Sr.

On Saturday afternoon, March 23rd, 2024, Mark Albert Peet Sr., age 82, of Haslet, TX, went to be with our Lord. He passed peacefully surrounded by family.

Mark was born on September 21st, 1941, to Donald and Sara Peet of Wilmington, Delaware. He was the youngest of 3 children. His mother lovingly nicknamed him "Mousie." He grew up in Wilmington. He loved going swimming with his friends, spending time outdoors, and playing basketball.

When he was a senior in high school, he met the love of his life, Judith "Judi" Peet. He was working at the local A&P, stocking shelves when he accidentally ran into Judi's cart. They started seeing each other shortly after. He would pick up Judi and her little sister, Kate, from school and take them for ice cream.

After he graduated from high school, he joined the Navy. Mark and Judi's relationship continued during his time in the Navy. He was on active duty for 2 years. When he returned stateside, he married Judi, and on April 29, 1963, Mark and Judi had their first son, Mark Albert Jr.

Mark Sr. continued to serve in the Navy Reserves for 4 years and was also hired by DuPont during this time. Moreover, he resumed his job with the A&P. His boys remember him as a hard worker. At one point, he worked 3 jobs at a time. He loved taking care of his family.

On August 26th, 1965, Mark Sr. and Judi welcomed their second son, Michael Allen. They loved their lives in Delaware. Fast forward a few years, and their third son, Kevin Andrew was born on May 24, 1971.

In 1977, DuPont moved Mark Sr. and his family to south Florida. At age 40, Mark Sr. started attending college and graduated from Nova University in 1984. That same year, he was promoted and they were moved to Texas. Years later, he and Judi relocated to Portland, Oregon for another role at DuPont, and he retired when he was 62 years old. Mark Sr. and Judi moved back to Texas in retirement to be closer to family.

Mark Sr. and Judi loved to travel in their RV, they loved their family, and they loved the Lord. He loved to serve his community and the church. He enjoyed golf, and he loved music, a good joke, and the Texas Rangers. We were tremendously blessed to have him in our lives.
