Mary Eugenia “Gene” Britton

FORT WORTH — Mary Eugenia “Gene” Britton passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, at the age of 104.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: There will be no visitation.
Mary was born Jan. 24, 1911, to the late Charlie and Lavonia Towson in Terrell. Mary was a master bridge player at the Fort Western duplicate bridge unit 183 and numerous bridge groups.
Survivors: Grandson, Mark Britton and wife, Alison; grandson, David Britton and wife, Robin; granddaughter, Janet Smith; great-grandchildren, Rachael Britton, Sam Britton, Sarah Britton, Elise Britton, Jakob Britton, Britainy Smith and Reagan Smith; daughter-in-law, Becky Britton; family friends, Steve and Matt Sherlip; nieces, Judy Boatright, Helen Purselly and Eileen Bell; and nephew, Jake Britton.
