Master Sergeant Lance Keola Keller

Master Sergeant Lance Keola Keller, USAF Security Forces passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022 after a courageous battle with Esophageal Cancer at the age of 40.
VISITATION: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s funeral home.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2022 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
INTERMENT: Lance will be laid to rest in Dallas-Fort Worth National Veterans Cemetery with military honors following the Memorial Service on September 16, 2022 at 1:00pm.

Lance was born on August 3, 1982 at Naval Regional Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina to Mike Keller and the late Judith Quinit. He graduated from Leander, TX High School, Class of 2002 and the Community College of the Air Force with an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice, 2019. During his prestigious 19 years in the United States Air Force he received many awards and decorations to include the Meritorious Service Medal, German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal just to name a few. Lance loved comic books, motorcycles, traveling, the Dallas Cowboys and watching movies with everyone, especially his boys. He always kept tabs on the St. Louis Cardinals with his dad. Lance was a member of Team Defenders and the American Legion Post 160, he always dedicated his spare time to helping others. He had a great passion being a mentor and teacher and touched many hearts.
Memories from son, Hayden: “Every night, dad would give me a hug and kiss and say, “Bubba, I love you and I’m so proud of you.” When I said “I love you too and I know” he would say, no you don’t, it’s not possible.
Memories from son, Colton: “He played any video game I wanted and when I was sad, he could always make me laugh.”
Memories from Amanda: “The day he told me he loved me in San Antonio and I realized just how lucky I was.”
Lance was a loving father, son, grandson, partner, brother, uncle, cousin, brother in arms and friend and will be missed by us all.
SURVIVORS: Son, Hayden Keller; son, Colton Keller; father, Mike Keller; grandfather, Jim Keller; partner of 3 years, Amanda MacDonald; sister, Laurajean Cravens and husband, Ron; sister, Gemma Chiong; sister, Amanda Newbould; step mom, Lucie Maus; uncle, Larry Keller and wife, Wendy; uncle, Kevin Keller and wife, Vickie; brother by heart, BJ Powell; sister by heart, Jennifer Powell; fur son, Yoda; many brothers in arms; and countless friends.
