AZLE-Michael Jinks Lockley passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at the age of 65.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2 p.m. Monday, September 20, 2021 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel.
VISITATION: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. (1 hour prior to service time) Monday, September 20, 2021.
Michael was born Thursday, September 6, 1956 to Jinks and Betty (Skidmore) Lockley in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from O D Wyatt High School, Class of 1975. He worked construction with his father and began building wooden rollercoasters in 1985, starting with the Texas Giant. He built rollercoasters and travelled worldwide, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Michael was a man of “true grit” and had a good work ethic. His friends were life long and became family and they always boasted of his loyalty and integrity. Michael enjoyed all simple pleasures in life: good food, good blues music, good company, and cruising on his Harley Davidson. He loved old westerns and his favorite was Gunsmoke. Michael was a loving son, father, grandfather, and friend, and will be deeply missed.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, Jinks Lockley.
SURVIVORS: Mother, Betty Lockley; sister, Vicki Harris and husband, Al; brother, Harold Lockley; daughter, Kristina Borden and husband, Daniel; son, Brandon Lockley; son, Jonathan Lockley; granddaughters, Mackenzie, Kodi and Shelby; and many ,many friends.
